PTA Reflections

The PTA Reflections Program challenges students to create art inspired by a specific theme.  The 2015-2016 theme is What is your story?

 

In this contest, students will express their artistic abilities through words, pictures, music, dance, and other art forms.  They learn to analyze their thoughts, feelings, and ideas; learn to look at things, people, and experiences in a fresh and exciting way; and become more interested in the ideas and works of others.

 

The PTA Reflections Program is designed to enhance quality arts education by providing an opportunity for students to explore their artistic talents by creating works of arts for fun and recognition. Students may choose to enter one or all of the available arts categories:

 

Dance Choreography               Literature             Photography

Musical Composition              Visual Arts           Film Production 

 

First place winners in each category go on to compete at the district, county, state and possibly even national level!

 

Entrants must submit their artwork AND student entry form to the school office. Entrants must follow requirements and instructions specific to each arts category and division.

Reflections Art Program Theme Search

 

The search is on for the future National PTA Reflections theme.  One exceptional concept theme will be chosen on February 1, 2017 to inspire creativity for the 2018-2019 PTA Reflections program theme. One exceptional theme will be chosen on February 1, 2017 to inspire creativity for the 2018-2019 PTA Reflections program theme. The winner will receive $100 and recognition at the Annual National PTA Convention. Theme Search judges look for a focused and clear theme promoting PTA values that is appropriate for all grades and applicable to all arts categories.
